NATURE AND HABITS.
The breed is found in provinces including Shanxi, Hunan (CSIS 2008), Guangxi, Sichuan, Gansu, Hubei, Guizhou and Yunnan, and Taiwan (Smith and Food 2008).
It occupies altitudes of 800-50000 meters, most often from 2,000 to 3,000 meters. This species is inhabited by dense mountain forests, limestone cliffs, and coniferous forests. They spend the night and nest in the hollows of tall trees.
WHY SQUIRREL LIVE IN JUNGLE
You may have thought that there are only one species of a giant squirrel.
In fact, there are 44 in the tribe and the largest red and white giant is the Flying Square (Petorista alburofus).
It is found in the forests of China and Taiwan and, boy, can it fly? Strictly speaking, it’s moving, but as you can see from the video above, it’s incredibly good.
It launches itself into space and then appears to float easily through the trees to its destination.
SQUIRREL INHABBIT AND REACTION WITH PEOPLES.
This flight is acceptable – amazing, but many people who look equally amazing about the red and white vivid flying squirrel are getting blue eyes.
These incredible species live in the dense mountain forests and limestone mountains of China. In Taiwan, they live in the island’s wood and coniferous forests, which build high nests in tree hollows.
NEED A EAT FOR SQUIRREL:
Only one or two of these infants have small intestines and eat a variety of nuts, fruits and plants. They will also eat insects and larvae, and birds’ nests for eggs are sometimes raided when times are a bit confusing.
